How do I know what size aircon I need?
To choose the right air conditioner size, you need to know the size of your room in square meters. A quick guide:
- Up to 16m² → 9 000 BTU (2.6 kW)
- 16 – 22m² → 12 000 BTU (3.5 kW)
- 22 – 33m² → 18 000 BTU (5.2 kW)
- 33 – 44m² → 24 000 BTU (7.0 kW)
How do I measure the size of my room?
Measuring your room size is simple. Use a tape measure to get the:
- Length (in meters)
- Width (in meters)
Then multiply:
Length x Width = Room Size in square meters (m²)
Example:
If your room is 5 meters long and 4 meters wide:
5m x 4m = 20m²
Based on your room size, you would require a 12 000 BTU unit.
What factors do I need to consider when sizing an aircon for my room?
- Room Size (m²): Measure the length × width to get the floor area.
- Ceiling Height: Higher ceilings mean more air to cool—adjust size accordingly if over 2.7m.
- Sun Exposure: Rooms with direct sunlight or large windows may need a more powerful unit.
- Room Type & Usage: Bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, and offices have different cooling needs.
- Number of Occupants: More people generate more heat—add capacity for 3 or more occupants.
- Appliances & Equipment: Heat from TVs, computers, or kitchen appliances can affect performance.
- Insulation & Ventilation: Poorly insulated or draughty rooms lose cool air faster, requiring higher capacity.

Yes, we offer professional aircon installations. For standard back-to-back installations, you can conveniently purchase an ,installation voucher from our online shop.
Once you’ve purchased the voucher, our team will contact you to schedule the installation at a time that suits you.
Need a custom installation? No problem — contact us and we’ll provide a tailored quote based on your specific requirements.
What are the installation costs?
Our standard back-to-back installation costs are available as vouchers in our online shop, making it easy to add installation to your aircon purchase.
If your installation requires extra work — such as extended piping, roof work, or additional materials — we’ll assess the site and provide a custom quote for any costs over and above the standard rate.

What is included in the installation voucher?
The installation voucher covers a standard back-to-back installation, which includes:
- Mounting of the indoor and outdoor units on opposite sides of the same wall
- Up to 3 metres of piping, electrical cabling, and drain pipe
- A standard PVC trunking kit for a neat finish
- Wall brackets for the outdoor unit (if required)
- Drilling, connection, and commissioning of the system
This applies to ground-floor installations with easy access.
If your installation requires additional work (e.g. longer piping, roof access, core drilling, or second-storey setup), we’ll quote separately for the extra cost.
How does delivery work?
We offer free delivery straight to your doorstep within our delivery zones.
Please ensure the following to avoid any issues:
- The delivery address is correct and complete
- Someone is present at the address to receive and sign for the delivery
We will notify you in advance of the day your delivery is scheduled, so you can make the necessary arrangements.
If no one is available to receive the order, a re-delivery fee may apply.

What are your warranty terms?
All air conditioning units purchased through our store come with a manufacturer’s warranty, typically ranging from 1 to 5 years, depending on the brand and model.
To ensure your warranty remains valid, please note the following conditions:
- The unit must be installed by a Pinnacle Air-approved installer
- Samsung and Alliance units must be registered online after installation at:

- Other brands will have their specific warranty terms included with your purchase
Warranty exclusions include:
- Power surges or any electricity-related damage
- Misuse, physical damage, or poor maintenance
- Any repairs or modifications not carried out by authorised professionals
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

What is not included in the installation voucher?
The installation voucher covers a standard back-to-back installation, but it does not include the following:
- Extra piping, electrical cabling, or drain pipe beyond the included 3 metres
- Core drilling through thick concrete or unusual wall types
- Additional trunking beyond standard length or in non-standard colours
- Double-storey, roof, or hard-to-access installations
- Wall chasing, plasterwork, or painting after installation
- Travel to outlying or remote areas – additional fees may apply
- Electrical work beyond a nearby plug point –
A plug point must be directly next to the unit.
If not, we will need to quote separately for cabling and connection to the nearest plug point or DB board.
If your installation requires anything beyond the standard scope, our team will assess and quote accordingly.
What if I ordered the wrong size unit?
Each unit in our online shop includes a recommended room size guide to help you choose the correct aircon for your space.
If you’ve ordered a unit that is too small for your room, we can assist with an exchange, provided that:
- The unit is unused
- It’s in its original packaging
- It is returned in the same condition as when it was delivered
Please note:
- A service fee may apply to cover handling, collection, and re-delivery
- Any difference in cost between the original and the correct unit will be invoiced accordingly before the exchange is completed

Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you can return an item within 7 days of delivery, provided that:
- The item is unused and unopened
- It is in its original packaging
- It is in the same condition as when it was delivered
- You provide proof of purchase
Please note:
- A handling and collection fee may apply
- Refunds will only be processed once the returned item has been inspected and approved
- Custom orders or items that have been installed are not eligible for return

Where will I get my invoice?
Your invoice will be sent to you via email shortly after your order is confirmed.
If you haven’t received your invoice or need another copy, please contact us and we’ll resend it right away.
How often should I maintain my aircon?
To keep your aircon running efficiently and to maintain your warranty, it must be serviced twice a year by a Pinnacle Air-approved company during the warranty period.
At Pinnacle Air, we offer 4 maintenance packages ranging from basic to advanced servicing, tailored to suit your needs — whether for home or commercial use.
Pricing is available on request, and we’ll gladly recommend the best package for your system and usage.
Regular maintenance helps prevent breakdowns, improves energy efficiency, and extends the life of your unit. Contact us to learn more or book your next service.
Do you service units that you did not install?
Yes, we service air conditioning units even if they were not installed by us.
Please note the following:
- Service costs do not include repairs
- If we find a fault during the service, we will pause the service, provide you with a quote to repair the unit, and once the repair is approved and completed, we will continue with the service
Also, please be aware that units installed by third parties do not qualify for a Pinnacle Air warranty.

Do you supply and install?
Yes, we supply and install air conditioning systems.
We have our own in-house installation teams as well as a network of Pinnacle Air-approved third-party installers to ensure professional, reliable service across various areas.
